Small but classy field for the Lonsdale Stirrup Cup. Glen Kotzen holds a strong hand with his duo: BLACKBERRY MALT and HOLDING THUMBS. The former is knocking hard at the door and could get rewarded carrying 54kg. HOLDING THUMBS is heading for bigger races and is a lot better than his last effort. Stripping fitter he could be hard to peg back at the front. SHOOT THE RAPIDS wasn't disgraced in the WSB 1900 and is going to be more at home over the extra. But FUTURE SWING, carrying a big weight, needed his run in the 1900 and could make good improvement. MARAUDING HORDE has a say too.
